FORT WORTH, Texas (October 19, 2016) – The Lone Star Film Festival (LSFF) in Sundance Square, an annual film event in North Texas (November 10 – 13, 2016), announces the addition of two special screenings and welcomes celebrity guests to the City of Cowboys and Culture.


  • TITLETOWN, TX to make big screen debut – Presented by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Titletown, TX is the story of the 2016 Aledo Bearcats and their quest for a sixth state title in eight years. Produced by Star-Telegram video journalists Jared Christopher and Jessica Koscielniak, the web series (currently online) showcases the glory, the pressure and the passion of big-time high school football in Texas.  Presented in a condensed 90 minute version, this special screening will take place on Sunday, November 13th and will feature a Q&A with the filmmakers, coaches and student-athletes.


  • Celebrate the 25th anniversary of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST with the film’s Executive Producer Don Hahn in attendance – Award winning filmmaker Don Hahn was the Executive Producer of the Disney classic “Beauty and the Beast”, the first animated film to have ever been nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award©. His extensive resume of producing credits also includes the worldwide phenomenon “The Lion King”, Tim Burton’s animated hit “Frankenweenie” and “Maleficent”, starring Angelina Jolie. Hahn is one of the founding producers ofDisneynature at Walt Disney Studios and is a bestselling writer with books on animation and art including “Brain Storm”, “Drawn To Life”, “Before Ever After: The Lost Lectures of Disney’s Animation Studio” and “The Alchemy of Animation: Making an Animated Film in the Modern Age”.  Don Hahn is currently working on next year’s highly anticipated live-action film version of “Beauty and the Beast” starring Emma Watson.  Lone Star Film Festival’s special screening of “Beauty and the Beast” takes place on Sunday, November 13th at Four Day Weekend.


  • Celebrities make their way to Fort Worth – The 10th annual Lone Star Film Festival welcomes the arrival of Emmy© and two-time Golden Globe© winner, Jane Seymour, as she receives the Achievement in Acting Award at the Lone Star Film Festival Ball.  Joining Seymour will be country music sensation, Clint Black. Black, a Grammy© and CMA award-winning artist will be honored with the Stephen Bruton Award for excellence in music and will share a live performance at the LSFF Ball.  The four-day festival will feature various notable speakers including film and television director/actress Joanna Kerns, Sundance Film Festival award-winning writer/director David Lowery, award winning producer/actor Toby Halbrooks and director of the Texas Film Commission Heather Page. The 10th annual Lone Star Film Festival runs November 10 – 13, 2016 in Sundance Square, downtown Fort Worth.

WHAT:            The 10th annual Lone Star Film Festival in Sundance Square opens this November with film screenings, film competition, panel discussions, guest speakers and parties.

WHEN:            Thursday, November 10th – Sunday, November 13th.

WHERE:          All Screenings will be held in Sundance Square at the AMC Palace Theater and Four Day Weekend Theater. Additional activities will be held in Sundance Plaza Pavilion and at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel.

COST:              All-Access Badges ($200) are available online now.  Individual screening tickets will be available at the door only ($10).
